Membership at Upwey-Belgrave RSL
The RSL is Australia’s largest, most influential and effective ex-service organisation.
The League provides its members with a range of benefits and services, as well as promoting the ties of mateship and caring for veterans and their dependants.
What is Service Membership (Click Here for Form)?
Service Membership of the RSL is available to anyone who is currently serving or has served in the ADF or any of Australia’s allied armed forces. Service membership offers serving and ex-serving personnel mateship with others of similar life experiences.
What is Affiliate Membership (Click Here for Form)?
Affiliate Membership is a type of RSL membership that caters for family members of serving and ex-service men and women. It is also for members or ex-members of the police, fire brigade, ambulance and SES. Affiliates are entitled to vote on Sub-Branch matters and elections.
Its purpose is to provide a form of RSL membership that maintains the ‘bloodlines’ of those who have served their country in both peace and war.
What is Associate Membership (Click Here for Form)?
An Associate Member is a financial Service Member of another Sub Branch and a second member at our Sub Branch. No one can be a Service member at more than one club. This category is only available to Service Members (not affiliate or social). Before being accepted for this membership type, you must prove by either receipt or Clubs Online that you are a full financial member at another Sub Branch
What is Social Membership (Click Here for Form)?
Social Membership is offered to those who would like to be a part of their local RSL Sub-Branch on a social level.
Social Membership provides for the same benefits as Service and Affiliate members, however, the right to vote on RSL matters does not apply.
Cost
There is no joining fee for new members only an annual fee payable on January 1 each year. Members are issued with a personal RSL plastic card, this provides several benefits including member’s bar prices and reciprocal rights at all Victorian Sub-Branches
- Service Member or Affiliate Member $50.00
- Social Member $50.00
- Service member or Affiliate member with recognised pension card $50.00
- Social member with recognised pension card $50.00
- Tier 1 member $50 flat rate
- Tier 2 member $50 plus $50 donation
- Tier 3 member $50 plus $250 donation, which gives you free tea, coffee and soft drink all year
- Associate Member $10
