Bus Driver and Tour Manager for Veteran Day Trips
We want to take our Veterans on Tour.
RSL Trail. In January we set our members to challenge as a collective to visit all 270 RSL Sub Branches in Victoria. We would like to take our Veterans on a tour of some of them. 
We would look at running monthly day trips to sub branches within an hour of Upwey.
  • We need a Bus Driver to drive the courtesy bus
  • We need a Tour Manager to help the veterans and assist co-ordination on the day, of entry to venues, orientation of bathrooms etc assist with any needs
  • Approximately 6hrs (one day) per month

Veteran Services Wellbeing Co-Ordinator
Are you an enthusiastic individual? 
Ready to infuse energy and passion into the assisting the wellbeing and social connections for our Veterans young or seniors
We are seeking a dynamic volunteer to help with designing and implementation a calendar of engaging activities and events for Service Personnel (past and present), First Responders, as part of our RSL Active.
RSL Active
A health and wellbeing program for past and present service personnel, first responders, and their families. Provides a way to connect with other services members and develop social networks, share ideas, tell stories, enhance support circles, and improve physical and mental health. Designed to support the physical health and wellbeing of veterans and their families.
No previous experience required just the desire to want to make a difference and help build a community connection.

We require a volunteer to help coordinate activity events and sessions 
  • Liaise with External Suppliers and RSL Staff
  • Confident Phone Manner
  • Support participants with enquiries
  • Basic PC skills
  • Hybrid Role: On site and remote
  • Flexible hours, Approximately 3hrs per week
Volunteer Home and Hospital Visitor
Providing socialization and communication to those that need it. Volunteers in the Home and Hospital Visiting program provide a range of supports to veterans which could include:
  • Visiting veteran at home
  • Visiting veterans in hospital or an aged care facility
  • Assisting with leisure activities, outings, special occasions and commemorations
  • Supporting physical exercise such as going for a walk
  • Reading or helping with letter writing or filling in forms
  • Social support
  • Flexible hours, Approximately 3hrs per week
Bar Staff
No experience required or certification. We can train you and then help you achieve your RSA. 
  • Must be over 18
  • RSA and RSG advantageous but not a requirement
  • Provide Service from the bar
  • Set up bar for service
  • General cleanliness of bar and surrounds
  • Flexible on hours available, minimum 2hrs per week 

Newsletter Editor /Administrator
We need a volunteer to help share the RSL with the world
The newsletter is more about collating information from various department heads. You can also add your own creative flare.
Newsletter are produced from our Communication Software. The software is super easy to use, do not fear if you do not have the skills. If you can use Microsoft Word you can use the website software we use. All training will be provided.
  • 2 Newsletters per month
  • Any "special" announcements 
  • Flexible hours, Approximately 4 hrs per fortnight

Social Media Administration - Basic PC skills only
We need a volunteer to help share the RSL with the world. 
Can be done as a remote role
Do not fear you do not have the skills. If you can use Microsoft Word you can use the website software we use.
All training will be provided.
  • Basic PC skills
  • Need to have a Facebook account or be able to make one
  • Posting on Facebook about upcoming events, 
  • Content writing (if you feel confident
  • Update Website as needed (simple software/user friendly)
  • Liaising with Bar Manager and Head Chef regarding promotions
  • Liaising with Department Heads for socials content
  • Flexible hours, Approximately 2hr per week
Bistro - Front of House and Back of House
No experience required or certification. We can train you and then help you achieve your Food Handling Certificate etc. 
  • Provide assistance in the bistro
  • Set up bistor for meal service
  • General cleanliness of bistro and surrounds
  • Flexible on hours available, minimum 2hrs per week
